Unity Productions' inaugural show was due to take place at Stourbridge Town Hall from March 18th to 21st, 2020.
After many months of rehearsal, as we all know by now, the country's theatres fell silent the week the production was due to be performed. After the initial disappointment of realising that we would be unable to perform this show to a live audience, in the 11th hour we were privileged to be granted, by the family of the late Jonathan Larsson, to live stream the show on YouTube. We understand that this was the first time that this was allowed to be done at the time by any company, although it was strange to perform to an empty auditorium. Many companies have replicated this since during the pandemic.

The future of the company could have been in jeopardy if it wasn't for the kind and generous patrons who donated their ticket money towards the costs incurred. There were even sufficient funds left over to make a donation to the Georgina Unit at Russell's Hall. This was in addition to the donations made to the charity via the YouTube live stream. The Unit received a total of £2,753 and thanks everyone for their generosity.
Now there is a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel and after all the hard work originally put into this project, we are excited to inform you that, due to the enthusiasm of the original cast and crew, we will be resurrecting this project for 2022.
